This Cookie Policy explains how MediWalkers Health Private Limited (“MediWalkers”, “we”, “our” or “us”) may use cookies and similar technologies on its website, staging environment, patient and doctor portals, and related browser-based services. Read it together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, software development kit (SDK) identifiers and session tokens. They can help a service function, remember choices, measure usage or support optional promotions. Technologies used in mobile applications may differ from browser cookies.
2. Categories of technologies
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Login sessions, authentication, security, load balancing, saved form progress and transaction integrity. | Required for relevant features; browser blocking may impair the service. |
| Preferences / functional | Remember language, region, accessibility choices and non-essential display settings. | Where not necessary, controlled by preferences and available consent options. |
| Analytics / performance | Measure visits, page performance, errors and aggregate feature usage to improve services. | Optional where applicable; should be enabled only under the relevant consent controls. |
| Advertising / marketing | Measure campaigns, advertising performance and potentially recognize visits across services. | Optional, only if actually deployed and with the required choice/consent. |
The categories above describe possible uses, not a verified list of technologies currently installed. MediWalkers should publish an accurate cookie inventory showing provider, cookie name, purpose and expiry where available.
3. Healthcare data and advertising
MediWalkers provides appointments, consultations, health checks, diagnostics, pharmacy-related referrals, companion care and healthcare software services. We do not intend to place identifiable medical records, consultation notes, prescriptions or diagnostic results in analytics or advertising cookies. Health-related pages and patient portals should be configured to avoid disclosing sensitive URL parameters or medical information to optional marketing providers.
4. Third-party tools
Depending on the features implemented, MediWalkers may use technical providers for AWS-hosted infrastructure, authentication, analytics, customer communications, appointment workflows, payment processing and Zoom Video SDK consultation features. Zoom consultation recording is disabled by default as communicated by MediWalkers. That setting does not determine whether essential SDK or service identifiers are processed. Third-party services may set or read their own identifiers where their integrations are enabled. Actual providers and purposes must be confirmed against production configuration.
5. Consent and cookie preferences
Where consent is legally required for optional cookie or similar processing, MediWalkers will seek it before enabling those technologies. Users should be able to accept, reject, or customize non-essential categories through an available cookie preferences interface and revisit their choices later. Strictly necessary technologies may operate without an optional-cookie choice where legally permitted. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing already lawfully performed.
6. Browser and device controls
Users can delete or restrict cookies using their browser settings. Most browsers support blocking third-party cookies and clearing stored site data. Some mobile operating systems provide separate permissions for tracking or advertising identifiers. Restricting strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, booking, payment or other core website functions.
7. Retention and expiry
Session cookies typically expire at the end of a session; persistent cookies remain until expiry or deletion. The actual lifespan depends on each cookie or technology and its configuration. MediWalkers will maintain appropriate retention settings and disclose material expiry information in a verified cookie inventory. No universal expiry period is promised by this policy.
8. Children and family accounts
Where the platform supports services for children, optional tracking and marketing technologies must be configured consistently with applicable protections, including requirements concerning parental consent and restrictions on behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
9. Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy when technologies, partners, consent options or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted with its effective date, and additional notice or consent will be requested when required.
